Time-Matters UK Supporting children
who have a parent in prison

WELCOME TO TIME-MATTERS UK

Did you know there are around 312,000 children in the UK with a parent in prison?
If you have a parent in prison
you are not alone.

Time-Matters UK, based in Merseyside, supports children who are impacted by parental imprisonment. We provide group support and individual support for children and young people, both face to face and online, and welcome children from anywhere in the UK who might wish to join us.

Please have a look at the range of services we offer.

HOW WE CAN SUPPORT YOU

Join our support groups and meet other children and young people who share your experience and know how you feel.

Become part of a child advisory group where you can have your voice heard (anonymously if you wish) to help make important and necessary changes to the way children and their families are treated when a parent goes to prison. Speak with other young people at national and international conferences, on TV or on the radio.

Get involved in special projects and outings such as fine art, theatre, creative writing and journalism.

Also, come and join us for fun days out and residential trips.

OUR SELF-HELP BOOKLET

We are really proud of the children from Time-Matters UK who have designed, informed and illustrated a self-help booklet, called Safe-Together. Available to view online or download.
