🎉 🗻 Sending a massive congratulations to Anna and Matt for reaching base camp in their Everest challenge 🗻 🎉

After after an incredible 14 day hike, across rope ladders/bridges and mountain passes, up to an altitude of 5,364 meters, Anna and Matt were thrilled to reach Everest base camp on Sunday 😱
They undertook this challenge in honour of Lia, their close friend's daughter, who has Rett syndrome 💜

So far they've raised over £5,500 for Rett UK! An incredible amount of money that will help continue the vital support provided to our Rett UK community 💚

Here's what they had to say on their final day (today):
"All complete!!!!! One of the hardest things I have ever done. Tomorrow it’s small plane ride. 6 hr coach ride then back to Kathmandu for a hot shower and hopefully a sleep! We leave this mysterious / cultural / spiritual place having learnt so much about ourselves as well as taking in so many things that will never leave us.
For each and everyone of you that have sponsored us we are truly thankful for being part of our journey!" 🥰

Eva's story, featured on BBC Scotland News, stirred public concern, leading to a fresh review and the successful surgery at Edinburgh's Sick Kids hospital.

Eva, who battles Rett syndrome and severe scoliosis, faced dire consequences due to the delays. However, after media coverage and advocacy efforts, the surgery proceeded, offering hope for Eva's future.
